What "Unlimited Edits" Actually Means, and Why We Can Offer It
Unlimited sounds like a catch. Here is exactly what is covered, what is not, how a request works from your end, and the reason we can afford to say yes as often as you need.
Every plan we offer includes unlimited edits. When people read that, the first reaction is usually the same: what’s the catch?
It is a fair question. “Unlimited” is a word that has been abused by enough phone carriers and gym memberships that it deserves suspicion. So here is the full answer: what is covered, what is not, how it works from your side, and the honest business reason we can offer it without going broke.
What is covered
An edit is any change to the content that already exists on your site. In practice that means:
- Updating your hours, phone number, address, or service area.
- Swapping photos, adding a new team member, removing someone who left.
- Changing prices, menus, service descriptions, or any wording anywhere.
- Adding a seasonal promotion or a holiday notice, then taking it down.
- Fixing a typo you spotted, or three.
- Adjusting a layout that is not quite working, such as reordering sections on a page.
- Updating a form: new fields, a different recipient, a new thank-you message.
There is no monthly cap, no per-request fee, and no “fair use” clause that we will surprise you with. If you send us twenty edits in a week because you are rebranding your menu, we do twenty edits. If you send us one edit in six months, that is fine too. Most clients land somewhere in the middle: a burst of changes after launch, then a steady trickle as the business changes.
What is not covered
The line is between changing what exists and building something new.
Adding whole new pages or sections beyond what your plan includes is not an edit. It is growth, and it means moving up a plan. Our plans are sized by page count precisely so this line is clear: a Small plan covers up to fifteen pages, Medium up to thirty, Large beyond that. If your site needs to grow past its plan, the plan grows with it, and that is the only thing that changes.
A full redesign is also not an edit, though it comes up far less than people expect, because a site that is edited continuously never gets the chance to go stale.
That is the whole list of exclusions. We will always tell you before something crosses the line, and you decide.
How a request works
You do not log into anything. There is no content management system to learn and no admin panel to navigate.
Every site we build comes with a visual feedback tool. You open your own live website, click on the exact spot you want changed, and type what you need. “Change Saturday hours to 9 to 2.” “Swap this photo for the one I attached.” “This sentence sounds off, can we say it more simply?” A screenshot and the page details are captured automatically and sent straight to our team.
If you would rather just email us, that works too. Some clients never touch the tool. Some use it for everything. Either way, the request lands with the same people who built your site.
We complete edits within two business days on every plan, and most are done sooner. If a request is unclear, we ask rather than guess. When it is done, the change is live, and the previous version is saved in case you change your mind.
Why we can offer it
This is the part most agencies cannot explain, because most agencies cannot offer it. Three things make it work for us.
The sites are built to be edited quickly. Our sites are clean, static code, not a stack of plugins on top of a database. Changing a line of text or swapping an image takes minutes, and it cannot break anything else on the site. On a typical platform site, a simple edit can mean fighting a page builder, waiting for a cache, and hoping a plugin does not interfere. We removed all of that on purpose.
Every change is tracked. The site lives in version control, so every edit is recorded and reversible. That means we can move fast without fear. If something is ever wrong, we restore the previous version in minutes rather than rebuilding.
Edits are why clients stay. A website that is always current is a website the owner is proud of, and a proud owner does not go looking for a new agency. Unlimited edits are not a cost we absorb reluctantly. They are the reason a monthly plan makes sense for both sides. If we billed per edit, you would hesitate to ask, your site would drift out of date, and eventually you would leave. Saying yes every time is the whole business model.
The short version
Unlimited means unlimited changes to what is already there, submitted by clicking on your site and telling us what you want, done within two business days by the people who built it. Growing the site means growing the plan. That is the entire catch, and we put it in writing because we would want the same.
